The recipes on this site have been collected over the last 8 or so years and were a part of the recipe section of the old Burnt Toast weblog. Since I never really blog these days, but do reference the recipes frequently, I decided to create a new version dedicated to them alone.
Many recipes are my own, while others are based on versions found in cookbooks or around the web. In all cases, however, they are my own versions of those recipes, with my own additions and measurements.
Living in the UK, I tend to use a combination of American and English measurements – preferring to use cups, tablespoons and teaspoons when possible, but do use weights for dry ingredients. I aways try to show equivalents when I can be bothered to work them out.
