Weeeeeeeee!!

Weeeeeeeee!!

Can you believe we have actual, real, unadulterated sunshine at the moment? In England, no less?! Yesterday was glorious - I'd cross the road just to get a little sun on my skin. If I weren't a Colin-worshipper, I would definitely be a sun-worshipper.

And so could Cambridge, it seemed - Quayside was packed. The whole games dev community was there, it seemed: Jam and Sony boys, as well as some former Millennium folk - so we sat and had a chat and a pint.

It was a nice garden day as well. Roslyn the cat pounced on a little vole and we chased her all around the garden trying to get her to drop it which she eventually did. It sat in front of her, cleaning its whiskers, hoping to do a runner when she looked away. We helped out by spraying the cat with a hose, but the little vole sat there for ages as we took pictures of it (it was perfectly unharmed). It only jumped away when a tiny little frog jumped on its back. Oh for a video camera...

A friend had a birthday barbeque and we sat outside and chatted, ate, chatted, drank, played cards and I ate, ate, ate (and drank) until the wee hours. OK, I fell asleep on the sofa before the wee hours showed up, but at least I was out of the house.

And today looks just as nice, so I'm off to the garden with the portable PC and a book and I'm going to drink up the Vitamin D and hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, (St Swithin's Day):

St Swithin’s Day, if it does rain
Full forty days, it will remain
St Swithin’s Day, if it be fair
For forty days, t’will rain no more.
