Andrew and Rogi are all in a frenzy over new cars today. Might have something to do with the Paris Car show that starts tomorrow. I want to get in on this too.
My dad loved cars and he taught me to as well. Our idea of father/daughter bonding was changing the oil on my car or speeding around the track at Ontario Speedway where his friend Billy Van raced gt-class (Billy also had a lovely AC Cobra for which I now have something of a passion).
My first job in LA was working in the VIP service department at Billy Van's Porsche dealership. Can you guess why I got that job? (nudge, nudge, wink) Actually, it wasn't all cheese. My dad taught me well. I knew how to say, "just let me take your 911 turbo for a drive and I'll see if I can figure out where that squeak is coming from" or "ok, let me just drive it around for a while and make sure the squeak's gone."
Anyway, I had a look at what was new 'round the show. Obviously, I'm disappointed by the uninspiring Porsche Cayenne, but I do think this very pretty Z4 would suit me quite well.
