The 3.1 million pixel Fuji S5000 is only £300 and has a really rather lovely 10x Optical zoom and wide angle lens. The S602 (also 3.1 million pixels) has slightly better everything else for £82 more but only a 6x Zoom.

The S5000 uses weird xD-Picture card that I've never heard of while the S602 uses both Smart Media and CF, of which I currently have a total of about 240Mb.
